On April 21, 2017, the Hanover County Rotary Club celebrated the 50th anniversary of its charter (April 17, 1967). District Governor Diane Hagemann and her husband Drew joined with other clubs' Rotarians for the festivities. Club members and their guests enjoyed an evening of food, fellowship and a presentation focusing on the history and achievements of the club. Local digitaries, including Delegate Buddy Fowler, Delegate Chris Peace and  Mechanicsville Supervisor Canova Peterson, had presentations for the club. DG Diane had a letter from Rotary International President John Germ.
